Verruca Treatment

A verruca is a wart on the foot caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). They commonly occur on the soles of the feet and toes. Verruca can be contagious and transmitted through direct person-to-person contact. They tend to be common in children, teenagers, young adults and people who use communal changing rooms. Verrucae can be uncomfortable and painful especially when they develop in weight-bearing areas of the foot.   Because of the biological structure of the virus, they are often challenging to treat, and treatment options include :

  • Laser: a form of light therapy, which targets the destruction of the virus and the skin changes deeper into the dermal layers.
  • Dry Needling
  • Caustic Agents
