About the position
Your responsibilities and the qualities we're looking for.
- Support the Head of Finance with all aspects of the monthly management accounts.
- Daily, weekly & monthly sales reporting for all channels including, clinics, website, wholesale and distribution.
- KPI reporting with a focus on clinic productivity.
- Supporting the AP team with the preparation and review of fortnightly payment runs ensuring adequate segregation of duties.
- Regular AP and AR reviews with the Accounts Assistant to ensure debts are kept current and all accounts are regularly reconciled.
- Cash expenses and reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Preparation of the quarterly VAT return.
- Coordinate regular stock takes for both the warehouse and clinics.
- Ad-hoc support during the year-end statutory Audit.
- Clinic petty cash and review of end of day reports to identify cash or card discrepancies.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are accurate and reconciled monthly.
- Support the Head of Finance with all aspects of the monthly payroll process.
- Monthly analysis of general ledger transactions as required by the Head of Finance.
- Office for National statistics submissions as required.
- Support the business with ad-hoc management information requests.
- Monitor adherence to internal financial controls and policies including cash handling, expenses and spend approval.
Our requirements
You will need to meet these requirements to be eligible for the position.
- Qualified AAT or working towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position with FMCG / Retail experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Xero and MS Excel, including formulas, functions and pivot tables.
- Highly adaptable and proactive, with a positive attitude and readiness to tackle any challenge.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- A curious nature with a desire to understand the Margaret Dabbs product range.
