A Brides Guide to Perfect Feet
Margaret, better known as the ‘Queen of Feet’, shares her top tips on how to get your feet wedding ready. For ladies the day often involves high heels and/or, strappy sandals, so it is imperative the feet look good enough to show off, as well as being comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the big day.
1 Get regular pedicure appointments booked well in advance of the big day. You should really be looking at a 12 week schedule to get feet in tip top condition. Start with a Margaret Dabbs London signature Medical Pedicure, a thorough overhaul of the feet, performed by a qualified Podiatrist which will leave you feeling like you are walking on air, with feet which look and feel brand new. Here at Margaret Dabbs London we offer special bridal packages, guaranteed to care and beautify the feet, to get you through your wedding and honeymoon with feet to be proud of.
2 Daily use of the Margaret Dabbs London Intensive Hydrating Foot Lotion will leave your feet feeling light and silky and looking beautifully healthy.
3 Soak feet regularly – this is a super way to relax mind, body and sole – and can be easily done at home at the end of the day. Our wonderful lemon scented Hydrating Foot Soak is perfect to keep feet fresh and supple.
4 Try to give the toe nails a break from polish for a couple of weeks. This allows them time to rehydrate. Dehydrated nails are often brittle and prone to breaking and splitting. It will also give time to rid them of any polish discolouration. Daunting as this may seem, nails can look just as lovely if they are buffed properly giving them a natural groomed look. Our Super Shiner Buffer is perfect for this.
5 Invest in our fabulous Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Serum. This little wonder product, really does work and will improve the nail and cuticle areas beyond recognition, getting rid of dry, cracked/split nails and cuticles as well as smoothing away any ridges. It can be used on the fingers with equally good results and the 15ml size means that it can be carried easily in a handbag! The pump applicator makes it really easy to use.
6 Break in your wedding shoes – a good idea is to go half a size bigger than your normal shoe size, as your feet will swell and there is nothing worse than standing in over-tight new shoes all day long. If you’re worried, keep Compeed handy for emergencies.
7 If you are opting to go for a nail polish on your hands and feet, go for natural tones. These always work very well on different skin types and are subtle enough on the big day. Popular Margaret Dabbs London colours that we use for brides to be are Sweet Pea (nude), Pink Blossom (sheer pink), Cornflower (pastel blue) and Crocus (Grey/lilac).
